He is doing this with help from the new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. The main goal is to let him throw the ball faster. Herbert hopes these changes will improve his game. Better footwork could mean quicker decisions and throws during games. The Chargers want to build a stronger offense for the next season with these improvements.
