X is rolling out Original Content Rewards on September 8, 2026, replacing Creator Revenue Sharing. Eligibility commonly requires an active X Premium subscription, at least 500 verified followers, and 500,000 Home Timeline impressions from verified users in the last 90 days. Payouts are tied to qualified impressions on original content.
Under the new program, creators earn from qualified impressions on posts that count as original. That usually means unique views from Premium subscribers on the Home Timeline, where enough of the post is visible. Replies and recycled material are a weaker path to pay than they were under the old model.
A payout rule change like this is normal on large platforms. The practical risk is treating one feed’s money as the whole business. When the thresholds move, creators who only rely on that check feel it first.
It still helps to keep a copy of the work somewhere you control, and an email list you own and can export. On Serey, commission on creator earnings is 0%. Creators pay only payment processor transaction fees. Publishing formats include blog, video, podcast, and webshop, and the email list is creator-owned and exportable at any time.
