The outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo has led to 282 confirmed cases and 42 deaths so far. There are also around 1,100 suspected cases in the region. In addition, Uganda has reported nine confirmed cases with one death. Health experts continue to monitor the situation closely.
